I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

As many of you know, I shave my head quite often. This typically leaves me at a loss when it comes to supporting St. Baldrick’s and their great charity event. But this year, I had an idea. Instead of growing out my hair (nobody really wants that), I decided to, for the first time in my life, grow a real honest-to-goodness BEARD! Over the past few months, I've grown accustom to tending to my 'face mitten' (thanks Joe Sites for that awesome name) like a child would tend to his or her chia pet. I trim it, moisturize it, sing to it and tell it that I love it before going to bed. The addition of the beard has received rave reviews and I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to sport a beard like the heroes of old. The beard has really come onto his own, but in just a few months, the beard will be no more. I am donating my face to St. Baldrick’s Foundation in an effort to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided that a worth tribute to this noble cause is my beard. And while it will be gone from my face, its gift to the world will never be forgotten. Now I need your help! Support me by providing an in memoriam gift to my beard. 100% of your gifts will be donated directly to St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Give my beard a real purpose and a noble farewell by donating today!
