I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Im shaving my head in honor of  Emma Dray. Emm is a fun loving sweet girl (Spirited child according to her mom.) Emma was diagnosed with medulloblastoma after a trip to the Emergency room for a severe headache, surgery followed a couple days later. Emma is now in her 4th round of Chemo and continues to be a fighter.

Childhood cancers are different from adult cancers? And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by SHAVING MY HEAD!

I'm shaving my head this year on March 1, 2019, to raise money for childhood cancer research! Pediatric cancer treatment is vastly different than adult cancer treatment regiments and is extremely underfunded. Many limitations stem from the complexity and severity of diagnoses. Given the aggressive nature of some pediatric cancers, the prognosis is not always favorable. To help raise funds, I decided to 'Brave the Shave' Along with my sons Ian Fladie and Kieran Fladie to raise money for further clinical research!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

As a mother to four healthy children my heart breaks for those that are currently fighting their battle with cancer, those that have fought their battle with cancer, and those that have someone affected by cancer.
