I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
I am dedicating my shave to little JP Ickes, a jouful baby boy of my friend Leann, who in 2018 touched the lives of thousands with his story of overcoming the odds.
His story has been included below:
This sweet baby boy of ours was 3 weeks old the day he was diagnosed with a cancer called Neuroblastoma stage 4. What started as a big belly concern at his 3 week checkup ended with the news of this we started chemo days later. The cancer was on his liver and a mass behind his heart. He is now 6 months old and done chemo treatment months earlier than the doctors expected. He is our little miracle and fighter and Pure example of what happens with prayer. He will continue to get regular scans during his follow-up to his treatment.
