I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.

So, to both help raise awareness and money for research, I will be shaving my head this Friday! My goal is to raise $350 by then, and I need your help in reaching that!

Please consider donating. Just $1 can help make a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

There are many simple joys and freedoms that we experience in our childhoods – seemingly small things, like  being able to play pretend or run around outside more or less whenever we wanted – things that we often took for granted.

A lot of these kiddos don't get to experience those things in the same way or the same amount as we might have. Certain cells of theirs are attacking the rest of their bodies, which is in turn trying to fight off that attack, with the aid of treatments. The type of exhaustion that comes from that doesn't always allow them the energy or the ability to partake in those types of activities.

The more money we can raise towards this type of research, the closer we will get to having better treatments for these children. Better treatments will help in working towards giving them the opportunity to experience more of those simple joys that should go along with anyone's childhood. More than that, it will help more children be able to survive childhood cancer.

So, let's help give children a chance to live, and to live with the freedoms they deserve! Together, we can make a difference.

Please donate, if you are able, or spread awareness!
