Medical research is the key to fighting cancer. Yes... There are a lot of great organizations that support kids with cancer and other terminal illnesses, but St. Baldrick's Foundation is trying to put those organizations out of business because finding a cure for cancer eliminates the need for supportive services. A cure for cancer will put a lot of people out of work. I'm one of them. And I'll happily choose another career in exchange for children (and their families) to never have to deal with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath that cancer brings.
It is a distinct honor this year to wear my red "boots" (they're really just high tops) and go bald with Team Kyra! I am sad that I never got to meet her, but having the opportunity to befriend the rest of Kyra's family has certainly been a gift in my life.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
