I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This year, along with the rest of my brothers in Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Michigan, I will again be shaving my head and raising money for the St. Baldrick's foundation to fund research for cures to pediatric cancer. It's not widely known, but childhood cancers are in fact very different from adult cancers, and research is extremely underfunded. In 2017, over 200,000 volunteers participated in some form to help raise money for childhood cancer research. I’m shaving my head too, because hair grows back – kids don’t. St. Baldrick’s gave over $39 million to childhood cancer research in 2017– mostly raised by more than 58,000 “shavees” like myself, from people like you! You can join the fight by helping me reach my goal of $1000 and my fraternity reach our goal of $50,000.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
