Hi there - I'm Justin and I'm a first-year Ph.D. student at Purdue. I've always seen service as an important part of who I am and doing service as an obligation. I do not have any personal connection to any children with cancer, but I do have connection to many adults; some survivors and some deceased. I do not see this as a reason to not shave my head for childhood cancer. Throughout the last several years I have gotten to work with so many kids interested in STEM and who work so hard to achieve who they want to be. So during my St. Baldrick's day experience and shave, I'll be supporting kids with cancer who want to be future scientists and engineers. I would love your support. I will be shaving both my head and my beard.

I am participating for Riley Children's Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

I'm shaving my head (and beard) to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
