I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Belles and Brawn of the Bald

Hi, I hope to raise at least $100.00 this year for St Baldricks Foundation to help further research fighting childhood cancers. Three years ago, my wife was in the fight of her life battling esophageal cancer. She has been cancer free for the last two years. This past year, my adult son started his battle with GBM, a form of brain cancer. He spent two months in the hospital after undergoing an emergency craniotomy. His hospital bill exceeded $890,000 and his oral chemotherapy is $10,000 per day! That’s not a mistake, it’s $10,000 per day! Luckily insurance will cover most of it. Now let’s just imagine a six year old child having to go through an ordeal like that. As a parent, how do you explain this horrible monster, cancer, to them? How do you comfort them when the chemo and radiation has made them lose their hair and they can’t keep their food down? St. Baldricks is raising money to help fund research to combat this monster. In the near future, perhaps parents and, most importantly, their children will never have to experience the heartbreak. The researchers are getting closer, but still have work to do. Let’s not fall short on supporting their research. LETS SLAY THIS DRAGON!!
