I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: SHS Faculty & Staff

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: SHS Faculty & Staff

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I have many family members and friends who are cancer survivors; have had friends who battled and lost to this insidious disease. I am from a very large family and we have been blessed that none of our babies or children have  been stricken with cancer. Far too many other families have not been as fortunate.

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to get involved with a wonderful organization that works tenaciously to raise money for research to find cures for these little ones who haven’t even had a chance to live, to grow, to reach their potential

So on March 10th, I will have my head shaved in solidarity with those whose cancer treatments have resulted in hair loss. But what I am asking of you is not so extreme. I need your help! Will you make a donation here on my webpage? The amount can be large or small...because it all helps.  Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. My initial fundraising goal is not very high.....because, frankly, I am hoping to be shocked by people’s generosity. So thank you from the bottom of my heart and down to the roots of my soon-to-be-shorn hair!!!
