I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!

This is one small way I remember my Mom. If you knew her, I know you would agree she has great fun and a big laugh watching me from heaven getting my head shaved every year. That I get to do it on St. Patrick's Day, one of me and my Mom's really special days together, makes it so much more meaningful for me. It's not all laughs though, I must admit there more than a few tears shared, which is just fine with me...and my Mom. If you knew her, I know you know she agrees.

If you didn't know my Mom, you know me. She taught me a lot about caring and empathy and thinking of others. She showed me love and how to love. She gave me the best examples of doing and trying to make a difference. She also taught me courage and dignity in her fight with cancer. I hope, if you know me, you know some part of my Mom.

So back to the raising money part...which is not the easy part. I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

And if you are in Downtown Cleveland on St. Patrick's Day, come down to A. J. Rocco's. I will buy you a beer and we will raise a toast to my Mom and share a few laughs and a few tears. (Mostly laughs) Hope to see you there. Who knows, you might just leave freshly shaved. Peace.
