I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Powell Bald Dogs
I have shaved my head since 2014 to honor the memory of my friend and classmate Summer Earl. To date with ALL of your help you have helped me raise $8,434 to help kids with cancer. Can we hit $10,000 this YEAR?! St. Baldrick's is a KIDS only foundation who dedicates their time and money to help fund research to find cures.
I have remained committed to Summer's family and promised them I would never give up on trying to find a cure in Summer's name. Summer passed away on March 10th. Which means this year for me is very special. I will have my head shaved on March 10th this year. Summer's family has always come out to support me, and my efforts to try and raise money so that no other family has to lose a child. I will forever be grateful to have this family in my life.
FACTS!
Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has awarded more than $232 million to support lifesaving research, making the St. Baldrick's Foundation the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. St. Baldrick's funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world – including the first Pediatric Cancer Dream Team – and to younger professionals who will be the experts of tomorrow. Funds awarded also enable hundreds of local institutions to participate in national pediatric cancer clinical trials, and the new International Scholar grants train researchers working in developing countries.
I am asking you to support me in raising money to honor the memory of Summer. Thank you.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
