I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: No Icing on this C.A.K.E

Hey friends and family! My son, Cole, and I, along with some friends have decided to shave our heads in support of childhood cancer research. As most of you know, I work in the healthcare field. Every day of my life I see the pain and sorrow that is a result of life-changing, sometimes life-ending diagnoses. More often than not, the lives that I encounter come to a close having experienced a full life. Full of love, time, and family. But this is not the case for everyone. Having children of my own, I can't imagine what it would be like having to watch a child pass so early on. For this reason, I support finding a cure for everyone out there already effected, or who will be affected. Because in the end, I would hope someone would support the the cause before this happened to my loved one, so the research and medication is available to them if it does.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
