I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. It's been 4 years since the last time I was a shavee and I'm so honored to be at this place in my life... where I'm ready to do it again. Being a cancer survivor myself, I understand the pain and uncertainty these kids feel, and although I didn't lose my hair, I know that being bald and looking "different" can be so hard for anyone, at any age.

3 and 1/2 years ago my daughter had a life changing accident and now she walks "differently" and her hands work "differently". She too knows how hard it can be to feel "different".

So I will shave my head for her as well, so we can embrace being "different" together and stand proud of who we are, and stand in solidarity with the kids who don't have a choice about looking "different".

Please consider a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank you so much.
