I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

It's that time of the year again!!I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! When I started this journey 5 years ago a child was diagnosed every 3 minutes - now it is every 2 minutes.  St. Baldrick's is able to get grants for doctors to find possible cures and better treatments. For me, this is the best way for me to help give these children the light of hope.

This is my fifth year participating and the most emotional. At my place of employment there is a very special couple that shared their story of what they are going through.........The wife has a cousin that is 12 years young that was diagnosed with cancer. Angel went into remission - then was later diagnosed that it had come back (out of remission) and there was nothing more that the doctors could do for her - imagine that news...........the worst! Then I have another very close friend that her future daughter-in-law was diagnosed with Osteocarcenoma..........the short of the story is that dear Jane went from planning a beautiful wedding (which got postponned) to jumping feet first into intense treatment/surgery to remove the tumor that was growing in her hip. She has received much of her treatments, has undergone intense surgery and we pray that she is going to come through to the other side of all through of this. Nobody at the young age of 28  should be starting a new marriage with Cancer - NOBODY!!!

Now I need your help! Please consider making a donation today. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
