I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rebel Girls

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rebel Girls

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that St. Baldricks helped to fund groundbreaking research in fighting children's leukemia last year? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

After I signed up to be a shavee last year, on the night before Valentine's Day, my parents sat my sister and I down and told us that our Daddy had cancer. He has been fighting for almost a year now. I shave for him, and I shave for my friend Justin, who I met at our cancer support group. He's fought cancer twice and he's my same age. By shaving my head and raising money for St. Baldrick's Foundation, I'm helping fund research to help Justin and all the other children fighting cancer now and in the future.

I was the only girl in the Lower Elementary School to shave my head last year. I'm hoping I won't be the only girl in the UES/LES this year. If you are interested in joining me, please sign up to be a Rebel Girl and fight cancer with me!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
