I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Bald Mafia

As many of you know - I lost my dad to esophageal cancer 25 years ago. He had chest pains for over two years - and went to the doctor - but was dismissed with medication and told he simply had "angina". It wasn't until he couldn't swallow solid food that the doctor finally scoped him and found his cancer. And by then it had grown to the size of a grapefruit and metastasized. I know what our family went through was rough - and now that I'm a mom that's always been my deepest fear. I've been fortunate that Zach is healthy - but there are lots of parents out there who haven't been as lucky. Cancer SUCKS - but it sucks even more when you see it in a baby or toddler. I've joined the fight this year in honor of my dad - I'm raising donations for St. Baldrick's - which funds childhood cancer research. Now I can't see myself shaving my head - but I will pledge if I hit $500 in donations I will get a tattoo of my dad in his honor and in honor of his valiant fight that he ultimately lost. Let's make this the year that we finally find a cure! Childhood, adult - doesn't matter - once we can cure one - we'll have the key to ALL of them. Won't you please donate? Even $5 helps!
