I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

I would urge you to take a minute to consider supporting St. Baldricks, an organization I am involved with through the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

St. Baldricks is an organization dedicated to raising money to fund childhood cancer research. Sadly, there are numerous parents and families each day given the unthinkable news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer. I've watched as families receive this news for the first time – their world being turned upside down, a nightmare literally becoming reality. My experiences have motivated me to pursue a career in this field as a future physician so that I may be able these kids and families through what is likely to be the most difficult times in their lives. 30-40 years ago, a diagnosis of childhood cancer was usually a death sentence. However, strides made through modern research have changed the prognosis such that many childhood cancers are now treatable and even CURABLE. This is an amazing accomplishment, but there is still work to be done.

Now more than ever, you can make a difference by partnering with St. Baldricks in the fight against childhood cancer. In addition to knowing that your support may help a child one day beat cancer, you also can have the added bonus of seeing me shave my head in support of this cause.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
