I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

It’s that time again, our annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event which will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at North Plainfield Fire House, 8 Lincoln Place, North Plainfield, NJ 07060. Start time is 1 p.m.

This is my eighth year participating as a barber, and I can not wait to get started shaving heads. This past year I was diagnosed with DCIS Stage Zero Non Invasive Breast Cancer. Thank G-d that I am now cancer free and have a scar to keep me humble. We ALL have so many friends and family that we have lost to cancer, and we have friends and family who are fighting and beating cancer.

I hope I can count on your generous donation to help me meet my fundraising goal of $1,000.00. You can come down and watch us “Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids’ Cancer”! It is all for a good cause-to raise money for childhood caner research. I am doing this for infants, children, teens and young adults fighting cancer. I am also glad to know that some of the research supported by this foundation ultimately helps to fight all cancers.

With their bald heads, our “shavees” will stand in solidarity with kids being treated for cancer; but the main point of it all is to raise money for life-saving research. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a charity run by volunteers which helps to keep fundraising costs low and grants high. St. Baldrick’s gave over $27.2 million in research grants.

You can write a check payable to: ST. BALDRICK’S FOUNDATION. Please put my ID #938249 in the memo of you check. I will also be collecting pledges. You can use your credit card online and this is the most efficient way to give to the foundation.
