I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Everyday, millions of people around the world are diagnosed with cancer. As saddening as these statistics are alone, an increasing percentage of those affected are young children. As a Nurse, I bare witness to the toll cancer takes on patients, families and communities. Working side-by-side with physicians on the front lines, battling cancer bedside, I still feel as if there is something more I can do to help in fight against this disease. So, here we are.

Recently, I have had the overwhelming pleasure of fathering an amazing and healthy son. This is a feeling I wish for all parents to share but, with over 300,000 children affected globally each year, the reality is that parents are not able to share these same feelings and I am here to help. With a minor sacrifice of shaving my head bald, I hope to aid the efforts of cancer research. It is my vision that one day we will end cancer, but in the meantime, restore smiles on the faces of children currently affected and new healthier generations to come.

With your charitable donation, anything is possible. Please consider helping in anyway that you can. Together, we can turn hopes of brighter days into reality. Thank you.
