I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
In October of 2011, at age 15, my oldest stepson was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, or AML. He won his fight, and beat the leukemia into remission thanks to his tremendous courage, the love and support from family and friends, and the world class treatment he received at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. We especially can't thank LCH enough for their support and hospitality as my wife lived and worked by her son's side from the hospital room for months at a time. The experience has inspired us to help raise awareness for childhood cancer whenever we have the opportunity.
When my good friend Phil Deppen mentioned he would be organizing an event with St. Baldrick's Foundation, I volunteered to participate as quickly as I could! This is pretty big - I happen to really like my hair.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
So, grab your debit card and give any amount, and don't forget to join us on Sept. 30th at 26 Acres Brewing Company to watch the barber in action! Thanks so much for your participation!
Sincerely,
Jeff Hamm
