I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
One 4 Olivia
Hello Friends and Family,
During June of 2015, I went bald to help support St. Baldrick's Foundation and in support of our niece Sweet Caroline Richards who lost her battle with Osteo Sarcoma earlier in the year. I am not going to lie to you, I was a bit scared at the thought of losing that flock of hair because at our age you never know if it is going to come back. Nothing however can be more frightening than a young child and a family learning that someone they love has been afflicted with cancer.
Our good friends Michael and April Egge and their wonderful daughter Olivia learned earlier this year that she has an Osteosarcoma tumor in her leg. Katherine and I are going to do all we can to support Olivia and the Egge family and once again I will be going bald to show my support for Olivia and all of the other young cancer warriors who amaze me with their strength and determination to beat this disease.
On June 3, 2017 I hope you can join us at Washington Golf and Country Club for what I am sure will be a wonderful event. We have a number of people lined up to Brave the Shave and to support Olivia in her fight. Please consider a donation to St. Baldrick's whether large or small it doesn't matter. What matter's is finding treatments that will work more effectively on children like Olivia. The chemo protocols and treatments have not changed for more than 30 years and with your support and the work of St. Baldrick's and their scientists, we can make a difference. Many Thanks Dave
