I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures by taking part in St Baldrick's head shaving event. When I was working for Verizon I had a co-worker who lost her 7 year old nephew Jesse to Neuroblastoma. To know that this little boy had bravely battled such an awful disease for most of his life and to have lost the fight when he had so much to offer the world was a heartbreaking story that is still happening today to other families. I hope that you will consider making a donation to support this worthy cause.
