I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey everyone! This year I've decided to Brave the Shave! Now I know that you're probably just as surprised as I am, but let me tell you a little bit about why I decided to do this.

About a month ago, someone mentioned to me about how they braved the shave and jokingly said that I should do it. At first, I didn't really give much thought into that statement, but as I talked to more and more people about braving the shave, I started to look into what exactly this "Brave the Shave" was. So I went online one night and just browsed through St. Baldrick's website reading about children's cancer. It was honestly a moving thing to be educated about children's cancer and even cancer in general. Just learning about kids' cancer and even thinking about the people in my life that have been impacted by it brought me to want to do something. And so I decided to sign up to brave the shave.

Right now, I want you to just think about anyone that you've ever known or know, that has been affected by cancer. Think about the far-reaching effects it's had on them, their family and loved ones. Any contribution, big or small, has a direct impact on the future of cancer research. Now, you may be thinking right now that as a college student you may not have the money; but I'm asking that you would even consider maybe not buying that Starbucks or milk tea this week or that onsen egg and extra meat at Don's. Instead, you could use those extra few dollars and donate to find a cure. So I hope that you would partner with me to help fund research for a cure!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
