I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!  My participation in St Baldrick's began 8 years ago after a colleague told me about it.  His friend's had a son Seamus who had just passed away from cancer.  That commitment strengthened when we learned that one of the sons of my mom's neighbor had their cancer reappear after a remission.  My mother, brother and I all went into Sloan Kettering on several occasions to donate platelets to aid in his treatment but Luke succumb to the cancer.  To this day I feel the sadness and loss for his parents, who are now our friends.  I have made the annual St Baldrick's fundraiser part of my life as a tribute to Luke and his family but also to show my commitment to helping find a cure for childhood cancers.  I would be honored if you would help me in this most important effort.  With Love, John
