I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Written by my mom:

This will be Alex's 4th time shaving his head for St Baldrick's. It would have been his 5th, but unfortunately he missed last year. He's doing this once again in honor of a little girl that he's never met & his late grandmother. He lost his Grandma Booher to cancer in December of 2009. She meant more to him than I'll ever know. A couple years after she passed, he looked through pictures with me that a college friend of mine posted on Facebook of her family shaving their heads in honor & support of her niece. He was only 8 at the time, & made sure to remind me later that year that he was shaving his head for that little girl the following March. He may not have remembered her name, but he remembered her & her story. It bothered him at a young age (& still does), to know that there were children fighting for their lives like his grandmother had to. That little girl may never know the impact she & her family had on his life, but we're thankful for them every day. His has made his goal for this year. I would like to see if he can at least double it. I know that not everyone one can donate, but if you could at least help by sharing his story & the link to his page it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help & support!
