Our very close friends (who we consider family) received the news that no parent wants to hear. At the early age of 1, their daughter Giuliana was diagnosed with cancer. Although she was young at the time, Sage saw firsthand the struggles that her friend went through. There were times that she couldn't get too close to her and play (as every child wants to play with their friends), for fear of Giuliana getting sick with her weakened immune system. She saw her without hair, as that hair was growing back, and celebrated when she was cancer-free. Each year, we participate in local walks to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Sage is really excited about cutting her hair to raise money for a cause that is extremely close her to her heart. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
