I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Delta Upsilon

When I was nine years old, my mother was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer.  I remember how traumatic this experience was for my entire family.  The night before my mother's surgery, I remember wondering if I was ever going to see my mother again.

No child should ever have to experience this severe a trauma.  The fear of losing a loved one to cancer should not be a reality that any of us have to face. Even worse, some children fear for their own lives because of cancer.  One in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes, and cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States.  Please help me put a stop to cancer forever.  My hair is the longest its ever been, and its looking for a reason to leave my head.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
