I am proud to announce that on March 25th, I will be shaving my head for the 12th time for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. At this point, I think it is fair to say that I will be participating in St. Baldrick's as long as I still have hair to shave. This year, my goal is to raise at least $2,000 to benefit childhood cancer research.
It is because of cancer research that a 17 year old boy, diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma at the age of 3, is now preparing to be a freshman in college. My brother Garrett, who has been cancer free for nearly 13 years, plans to attend the University of Delaware in the fall to study engineering. My family and I are extremely proud of Garrett for what he has accomplished and truly awed to see how far he has come.
This year's St. Baldrick's Event will be held at The Mahopac Inn on March 25th from 5-9pm. You are all invited to attend the event and see me go bald along with many other members of the Mahopac community. I also ask that you please consider sponsoring me in going bald in honor of my brother's 13th year of being cancer free. Please check out my webpage above and I hope to see you at the event!
With much gratitude,
Zach
