I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: DuganStrong: Survivor Edition

A little over two years ago, right before my 13th birthday, I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) in my femur. I underwent multiple surgeries and 10 months of chemotherapy. In March 2015, while I was still undergoing chemo, my family on Long Island decided to shave their heads at Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Pediatric Cancer Research. When they live streamed the event to me, I vowed that as soon as I was done with treatment (and my hair grew back), I would do the same. That is why this March 11, my family will once again be gathering at Napper Tandy’s, but this time I will fly up from Clearwater, FL to be with them! I have not cut my hair since it started growing back in preparation for this event. Please donate to this great cause!
