I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello! My name is Jessie Wooldridge, and I've been considering shaving my head for Saint Baldricks since my freshmen year of college, but was always hesitant. My mother and I have always knowingly joked, "we are not a bald people". But I realized how silly that is. Did you know that the American Cancer Society projected that about 10,380 children in the United States under the age of 15 would be diagnosed with cancer in 2016 alone? Many of whom lose their hair. By shaving my head I will be raising money for research, spreading awareness by proudly displaying my bald head, and standing in solidarity with the thousands of children who may not have considered themselves of the bald people either. Please consider donating and helping me in the fight against childhood cancer! Every little bit helps.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
