I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Thank you for visiting my page. As many of you know I have been battling a brain tumor (some consider it cancer) since June 2015. I’ve gone through 1 major gross total resection last year, 1 partial resection this year, 7 weeks of Proton Radiation treatment, and countless MRI’s. I learned about St. Baldrick’s from RCHSD. I’m shaving my head because it’s a symbolic event for my personal experience. I expected to lose my hair after radiation and surprisingly I didn’t! However, since I already accepted that I would lose my hair I decided to go ahead and join St. Baldrick's. I’m joining for myself and for all of the cancer patients I’ve met. This is a tribute to them and to all of the kids I’ve seen working so very hard to get better. They have inspired me to participate in this event. Having just finished proton therapy… well it’s another personal start over for me. I also want to raise money for childhood cancer research. Any donation whether it be $2 or even $50, would really make a huge impact. I’m counting on you to help raise money for much-needed childhood cancer research. We can win this fight together! Hopefully, you can join me on May 16th to witness the SHAVE!
