I'm shaving my head to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. But maybe more importantly, I'm shaving my head to stand side by side these little warriors as they go through treatment and kick cancer's butt each and every day. While these kids and young adults embody a kind of bravery that I may never understand in this lifetime, I can only hope that my tiny act of bravery can at least make them realize that they are never alone. That cancer is powerless against a positive mind. That they are truly as strong as they believe they are. That there is such a thing as being fearless and being perfect and that they are both of those things. If anything, I want all the little warriors to know that hair doesn't matter, appearances never matter. What matters is fighting with all of your heart, the courage you choose to have everyday, never giving up, and finding your happiness at all costs. Imperfection is merely misconception.
Please help me on this journey. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers! Let's kick cancer's butt together!
