I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Cancer is a thing that has touched so many people close to me...both children and adults. I'm sure we're all in that boat together. This fundraiser came as a bit of a delightful surprise. I commented on a friend's video from her own shave for St. Baldrick's four years ago and said I'd really like to do this myself. Another friend immediately popped up with a donation before there was anything to donate to! That gave me all the incentive I need.
Since leaving my full-time job to pursue adjunct teaching positions in higher education a few months ago, I don't have the funds of my own to give, but if I can support an organization like St. Baldrick's by shaving my head...that's an easy choice. Bye bye, hair! Hello, St. Baldrick's.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
