I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! My grandmother was diagnosed with lymphoma 2 months ago and is currently under treatment. I decided that I would like to donate my 20 inches of hair for a cancer patient in need of a wig. Unfortunately permanently colored hair is not accepted as a donation :( I kept looking into different ways that I could help. Fortunately I found the Saint Baldricks foundation which raises money for childhood cancer by hosting shaving events so that people can come together to raise money for the extremely underfunded research of childhood cancer. Although my grandmother is not a child or a teen I still know the devastating toll this takes on not only the individual but the family as well and can't imagine the pain a parent must go through watching their child battle this disease since it hurts me so much watching my grandmother fight this. So I've decided to brave a shave and alongside that raise a small but meaningful amount to raise awareness for the cause. Will be shaving my head as soon as I reach my Goal!!!!!!
