I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This will be my 3rd time shaving with the mommas. Each time is different, and each is amazing in its own way.

If you know me, you've heard this all before, but for new friends, here it is.  My oldest daughter, Layla, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when she was 3 1/2. She went through 3 years of surgeries, chemo, and radiation. Not to mention countless hospital stays, and 2 bone marrow transplants. We had 2 babies during that time which made 4 total.  All that, and she died on January 25, 2010.

I believe in talking about this to people who don't realize that kids do get cancer, and they do die. Its not something people like to hear, but it needs to be said. Our kids need new treatments, and better odds at survival.  There are kids who survive, but what they are left with are a multitude of health issues because of the type of treatments they had.

My commitment is to help raise money, AND awareness about childhood cancer. Will you help me by dontating to my page?  Please share this from now until July.
