I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My hair started turning gray when I was 18. Even though it’s gray I am proud of my full head hair … but I’m shaving it all off! I’m going bald to raise money for childhood cancer research! Yes, I’m shaving my head. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. I may not be able to do much about this on my own but, with your help we can make a difference. I knew nothing about the St. Baldrick’s Foundation until I heard that one of the men from church is participating and shaving his head to help raise money. I figure if he, and so many other men and women, are willing to give their hair for this cause so can I. For me, shaving my head is a tangible reminder of the children that need our help. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
