I had a magical childhood. My days were spent learning new things at school every day, playing outside in the afternoons, and spending time with friends. I can't imagine how things would have been if I had had childhood cancer, like many kids do. Instead of living a normal life, these children spend their days in hospitals, receiving harsh treatments, and going through indescribable pain. I know personally that cancer is a brutal, ugly process, as it has attacked my own family in the past, which is why I would like to see more people donate. Even $5 can help!
So, will you help me find a cure for cancer? My goal is to raise $500 by March 20th., which will be donated to St. Baldrick's. They invest the money in childhood cancer research. And the coolest part is that if I make my goal, you get to see me shave my head!
This fundraising project is in honor of my dad, who is a cancer survivor and one of the bravest and strongest people I know. Also for Ellie, a girl in Spokane who suffered through Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and overcame it with the brightest smile I've ever seen. Let's stop cancer once and for all!
