I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Harvey Society

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Harvey Society

As a current first year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine, I have committed myself to improving the health of others in training to become a physician. While an undergraduate at Georgetown, I worked in a tumor biology lab focused on the childhood cancer, Ewing Sarcoma. Ewing Sarcoma is a pediatric cancer that metastasizes primarily to the long bones, and often require aggressive chemotherapy and amputation. Once metastasized, the survival rate of patients with Ewing Sarcoma is only 27% - far too low. More needs to be done for children with Ewing Sarcoma and other childhood cancers. Unfortunately, childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Fortunately, however, YOU can help! As part of my continued commitment to fighting childhood cancers, both at the bench and the bedside, I am asking you to donate to St. Baldrick's to help fund childhood research with the goal of ending childhood cancers. Every dollar makes a difference, further supporting a researcher who can find a molecular target to develop into a treatment to save a life. Please help be support this urgent and innovative process. Let's make childhood cancer a thing of the past!
