I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Kenosha Firefighters CARE

On Spring Break this year I will be relaxing like most of you. But, I will also be doing something very special, I will be donating my hair to be made into a wig and shaving my head!

For those of you who know me, you know just how hard it was for me to find a picture of me with my hair down, and just how much I love my hair. My self-identity is wound up in its curly tresses. I am instantly recognizable as my mother's daughter with all of my curls, in a high ponytail or bun.
If you had asked me a year ago if I would be willing to shave my head for charity I would have said no, not for a million dollars or in a million years. But, since then, I have grown a lot and I've realized something very important. My beauty is not defined by my hair, but by the strength of my character.
And, I'm not asking for a million dollars in donations, I feel that what I am doing is worth any amount of money raised to support these children who are so strong and so brave. All I ask is that you donate what you feel comfortable with and know that your donation is greatly appreciated!
Thank you to all who donate! I am so very thankful and blessed to have your support!
