I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Those of you who know me well, know that I am passionate about raising money for Children's Cancer Charities... of course this is because my beautiful daughter Malorie was diagnosed with a terrible brain cancer called ependymoma when she was 2 years old.  The date was November, 11th, 2011.

Even though cancer did a number on our family, I am phenomenally blessed to say that Mal is in remission and doing wonderfully right now.  She's grown into an incredible kindergartener, and we're optimistic for her future.

Through our experiences, we have met many families who have children battling cancer.  Some are thriving like Mal.  Others aren't so fortunate.

So, in order to raise funds for research into children's cancer treatments, I'm going to have Malorie (and her twin brother Micah) shave my head this year for St. Baldrick's.  Please help me raise $1,111 by contributing to this fund to honor Mal and our family's journey.  If you're not into that mushy stuff, you can do it in order to help ruin Rachel's Easter pictures, which will feature my bald head this year!

Thanks for visiting, and let's beat cancer together!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
