I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi everyone,

My name is Alex Fazio; I'm 23 years old and I am graduating from college with my degree in exercise science. As part of my education I worked with young athletes ages 8-18. As a coach nothing brought more of a smile to my face than bringing a smile to theirs from the hard work and fun they have improving themselves as athletes! The sad truth is many kids in general are affected by cancer from ages as young as 3 years old. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.

It's a sad thing to watch as young children battle through cancer and go through many hardships from it and turns that smile of mine upside down. No child should have to go through cancer.

Now you have the opportunity to help make a difference. On March 7th I will be shaving my head completely bald in support of this cause. Additionally I am raising money to donate to Saint Baldrick's to support childhood cancer research which can one day make it possible for no child to go through this. My goal is to raise at least $300, but the more the better can be funded! If you can donate at least $1 you are helping a great cause in a huge way. Please donate so that way a child with cancer can someday get back out on the field, the stage,  the classroom, or whatever activity they enjoy! Thank you all!

Best regards,

Alex
