I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Shaving Saints: Going Bald for a Cure

I'm raising money for childhood cancer research. This is my all-time favorite event at SLU. Cancer is something that is one way or another a part of a lot of peoples' lives and I love that this event in particular brings us all together to remember our loved ones and fight for a cure. Ever since I can remember, cancer has been a part of my life. I had retinoblastoma in my left eye when I was three and ever since then, I felt that it was my duty to make sure no one else had to experience it. I remember one night when I was in second grade and my dad asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. My response, "I want to do something to help other little boys and girls who are just like me. I want to make sure they don't have to lose their eyes." Now here we are in 2016 and I have stuck to what I was preaching at 8 years old. Childhood cancer research is incredibly underfunded and I'm trying to do something about it by raising money for cures. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please consider donating and being a part of an awesome foundation working to find a cure. Thank you!
