I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:

"Yes it is true " I have decided to "Shave the Way to Cure" one more time in solidarity with children who have cancer, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true, childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. In North America, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.
Cancer is a brutal opponent and this is the very least I can do to promote my strong belief, that no one; especially a child should have to endure its wrath. Over the years many friends and family have battled cancer - some continue the battle - while others, including my Dad, were taken by this vicious disease.
Children typically lose their hair during treatment - while I take it all off by choice for them. My hair will grow back. Some of these children won't ever have a chance for theirs to grow back.
It feels like the right thing to do.
Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. It’s easy just click "Donate" or follow instructions to donate by phone or mail.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
