I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I was touched by a Facebook video I saw about Baby Mason. You can find the video at Baby Mason Updates on FB. Baby Mason was diagnosed with cancer at 5 months old. He lost his fight just 23 days after his first birthday. No child, nor parent, should have to suffer this way.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Only 4% of federal cancer research funding is used for pediatric cancer research. To date, there are only about 10 drugs on the market for fighting childhood cancers. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed every three minutes. And in the U.S., one in five children diagnosed, will not survive. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please, will you make a donation? My goal is to raise $1000 but every donation helps.
