I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mr. Einstein's Girls

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mr. Einstein's Girls

This year, my dear friend Liz and I are teaming up and shaving our heads together in Honolulu all to help support childhood cancer research. Because no family should have to listen to their child cry after a bone marrow test or listen to them puke in the middle of the night or develop a dislike for a childhood favorite food. Because no parent should have to say goodbye. I shave my head annually for my nephew, diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at three. At 21 he is a man of integrity, compassion and big heart to love those around him. Also for my husband’s first son, diagnosed with a rare cancer at a young age. He battled the disease until it took his life at seventeen. The untold reality is that medical research for childhood cancers is grossly underfunded. But St. Baldrick’s is doing something about that. Which is why I stand with them and shave my head. Still, I need YOUR help! I am setting a goal of $1,000 for 2016. I know we can surpass that amount! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. All donors this year will receive a fun gift from Hawaii – my small way of saying mahalo for the families and children who will benefit from St. Baldrick’s work. Join us!
