I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Little Homies on the Prairie

In May of 2012, our cousin Kolbjorn passed away at 9 years old.  He had bravely fought brain cancer for two years.

Kol would turn 13 this month.  We miss him dearly.
On September 13th, we will be walking to raise money for childhood cancer research.  Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers.  And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.  So we have decided to do something about it and join this walk.
At Kol's funeral, his family gave each of us a black bear.  Kolbjorn means black bear.  You will see us walking with our "Kol bears" as we affectionately call them in remembrance of Kol and in support of his family.
We invite you to read through Kol's blog to hear his full story and about his family: http://kolupdate.blogspot.ca/p/about-kolbjorn.html?m=1

We need your help!  Would you make a donation in support of St. Baldrick's Foundation and Childhood Cancer Canada?  Donations for Canadian residents should be made to Childhood Canada Cancer Canada and US residents should be made to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.  Just follow the links on the "Donate" button on this page.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
