I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: TeamBrent

In May, I will be shaving my head for the 10th time to raise money for childhood cancer research! I started in 2006 with my former lacrosse coach John Wiseman in honor Brent McCreesh. This June, Brent will be 10 years cancer-free, but our work continues. This past Fall, a fellow Bucknellian named Austin Thomas ('10), was diagnosed with cancer and has already indured nine rounds of chemo. Further, just one month ago, the niece of a dear friend was diagnosed with germ cell carcinoma. So this year I will be honoring Abigail, Austing, and Brent.

Over the last decade, I have been fortunate to take part in events from Connecticut to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C. and now I have hopped across the pond to London. As part of my fundraising, I will be running the a half-marathon on May 3rd in Athens, Greece, and you can bet I'll be decked out in St. Baldricks gear. I greatly appreciate any and all support that you can provide. Until a cure, Reed C Dempsey
