I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: New Rochelle Firefighters U.F.F.A. Local 273

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! It has been ten years since my Jimmyboy graced heaven with his presence. Although, it is very hard without him here on earth, I greatly miss him. I also know heaven has one of the best angels! As most know, Jimmy was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of four and passed away at the age of six. Jimmy was, and still is, an incredible inspiration to so many. We learned so much about giving, and the strength these wonderful children fighting cancer have. I could not think of a better event to honor my son! During the time of Jimmy's illness, our family was blessed to meet Ginny Escobedo, oncology/infusion nurse. I LOVE this woman! Ginny guided us through the ups and downs of facing, dealing with and the ultimate goal beating childhood cancer. Although, Jimmy succumbed to his tumor, our life was changed forever, for the better! New Rochelle Fire Department supported Jimmy and our family throughout his illness, and this is a way I can support them back and say thank you, while they raise funds for such a worthy cause! So excited. So, as a tribute to my son, and to all those fighting this devastating disease, I will shave my head, along with Ginny Escobedo (what better person to share this with) to bring awareness to childhood cancer and much needed research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I hope you will support me by making a donation of ANY amount to bring childhood cancer to an end! I love you all, and God Bless You and Your Family! Gina
