I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The SAHS Fuzzballs

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. Many of you may know that my step-dad, Bill, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. I see the pain that he goes through as an adult, and I can't even imagine how painful it must be for children. My father told me a story of how he once worked in the pediatric cancer ward, and how there was little to nothing they could do for the kids who were in so much pain that touching them just made it hurt more. These kids deserve so much more, and sometimes a song or a puppet show just isn't enough. Somehow they manage to keep smiling, and if that isn't truly humbling and inspirational I don't know what is. A long life free of pain and full of happiness is what they deserve. I want to see smiles on their faces and I want to see the research to save the lives of kids across the world. Help me change the world for the better. It doesn't take much.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
