I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I will be shaving my head on March 15 at The Iron Horse Tavern in Norcross, GA to raise money and awareness for St. Baldrick's Foundation. St. Baldrick's focuses on research into the cancers that typically affect infants, children, teens, and young adults. I shave my head in solidarity with the thousands of these kids who typically lose their hair as a result of chemotherapy treatments. Additionally and more importantly, I help raise money to fund grants for cancer research & development. You can help support this noble cause by donating "on my head"! You can donate online here at my shavee page, or you can come out to the Iron Horse on the 15th, between 2 and 5 PM, and show your support in the flesh! It's a very fun time; there will be live music, good company, and delicious food and drink! And who knows, perhaps you start an impromptu donation collection and have your own head shaved, all for a great cause! This will be my sixth time shaving my head for this wonderful organization since 2009, having taken last year off for the birth of my beautiful daughter Olivia. Since my last shave in 2013, over 350,000 children across the globe were diagnosed with cancer. Cancer clearly has not taken any time off, but neither has St. Baldrick's. More than 57,000 shaved their heads at over 1300 events and raised over $38 million in 2014. In 2015, they're starting strong already with over 16,000 shavee volunteers already having raised more than $4.3 million. Thanks in advance for your support!
